Virtual Bariatric Support Group
(1+ Years Post-Op)

Life after bariatric surgery doesn’t stop changing — even years later. As time passes, many people find that the challenges they face today look very different from the early post-operative phase, and ongoing support is often harder to find.

To support individuals navigating the years following surgery, we offer a free monthly virtual bariatric support group for adults who are at least one year post–bariatric surgery.

Who This Group Is For

This group is designed for individuals who:

  • Are one year or more post–bariatric surgery

  • Are experiencing weight regain, plateaus, or changing appetite

  • Want renewed structure, accountability, or support

  • Feel unsure how to adjust nutrition as structure loosens and long-term weight maintenance becomes the focus

  • Are looking for connection with others who understand long-term post-op challenges

You do not need to be a current client of Nashville Nutrition & Weight Loss to attend.

What to Expect

Research shows that ongoing support is one of the strongest predictors of long-term success after bariatric surgery. This group provides a supportive, judgment-free space to focus on what comes after the early post-op phase.

Each session offers:

  • Connection with others navigating similar experiences

  • Space to share wins and non-scale victories

  • Practical discussion around habits, routines, and tools that support consistency

  • Education and guided discussion led by a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist

The group is discussion-based and educational. It is designed to support — not replace — individualized medical or nutrition care.

Who Facilitates the Group

The group is facilitated by Kris Mock, MS, RDN, CSOWM, LDN, a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with extensive experience supporting patients before and long after bariatric surgery.
